Umeedein (Registration No.-41081508793, PAN – AAATU6641F): In 2015, a group of like-minded IT professionals from Odisha came together through a social media fundraising campaign aimed at helping an economically disadvantaged cancer patient. What began as a one-time act of compassion sparked a deeper realization: they wanted to give back to society in a more sustained and meaningful way.
Founder
Driven by empathy and a desire to make their weekends more productive, these engineers laid the foundation for Umeedein, a nonprofit organization whose name means “Hope.”
From the beginning, Umeedein’s goals were clear. Even with limited resources, the founders were determined to keep the initiative focused. They didn’t want to spread themselves thin—they wanted every effort to count.
Umeedein is a registered non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming the lives of children battling cancer in Odisha. Since our inception, our mission has been to ensure that no child is left behind in the fight against cancer, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds.
